This interactive session will provide an overview of DLBE programming essentials, as aligned with the Guiding Principles of Dual Language Education, 2018, in order to:
– Develop an understanding of the non-negotiable components of successful DLBE programs
– Understand the research behind effective DLBE programs
-- Engage in discussions around equity-systems and the support needed for program realization and sustainability.

This workshop will share their district’s DL PD plan and implementation for fostering meta-linguistic awareness. Participants will reflect on their own bridging practices and gain practical ideas for translanguaging implementation.
