This interactive session will provide an overview of DLBE programming essentials, as aligned with the Guiding Principles of Dual Language Education, 2018, in order to:
– Develop an understanding of the non-negotiable components of successful DLBE programs
– Understand the research behind effective DLBE programs
-- Engage in discussions around equity-systems and the support needed for program realization and sustainability.

We’ll cover essential topics like understanding school expectations, accessing resources, building friendships, parent involvement, and embracing cultural diversity. This session will provide educators with instructional routines and resources to help newcomers feel safe, valued, connected to their school community.
