Loretta Booker has been a Project Coordinator with Dual Language Education of New Mexico, working with CLAVES® and Dual Language Bilingual Education (DLBE) Program Development since 2023. Before that time, she served within the Santa Fe Public School District for 18 years as a bilingual/dual language teacher and elementary school principal, while simultaneously serving on DLeNM’s Board of Directors from 2012-2023. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and M.A. in Educational Leadership, both from New Mexico Highlands University, as well as endorsements in Bilingual Education and TESOL. Loretta comes from a family of educators and was born and raised in Santa Fe, N.M. where she currently resides with her husband and three children.
